Updated Authorizer’s Guide to Year Zero

The Year Zero Guide provides district authorizers with practical checklists and resources to navigate the planning year of a new charter school—from approval through the first day of classes. Developed in collaboration with FACSA members, the guide highlights essential activities required by Florida law and the Florida Standard Charter Contract, and includes sample documents, timelines, and tasks from Florida districts. It is a resource to support and strengthen authorizing practices and should not be considered legal advice.
